Philosophy
The goal of Confirmation is to train young men and women to be active in their
discipleship walk. Jr. Confirmation is aimed at our 7th and 8th graders, but 9th
and 10th graders are also welcome.
Curriculum We use Faith Inkubators, which incorporates the Bible and Luther’s Small
Catechism with PowerPoint slides, music, teaching through questions and games,
skits, comics, teaching with analogies and images, Bible Time, Small Group time
for sharing, and a guided meditation with a prayer journey. A member of the
congregation is interviewed during each event so the young people can see a
living example of faith.
Schedule
We meet most Wednesday nights during the school year, with the exception being
the seasons of Advent and Christmas (December) and Lent (the 6 weeks before
Easter). Dinner is at 5:30 PM, and the event is from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
