OUTREACH - This program is designed to minister to visitors and those
desiring to be members of the church as well as to invite newcomers to the area
to join us in worship. The programs include:

2nd Tuesday Lunch
Bunch - This ministry is open to all members and any guests who
would like to participate. The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month
at 11:30am. Every month a different restaurant within a 10-mile radius of
church is selected. It is a fun and informal way to build relationships with
members and their friends. Call the church before the 2nd Tuesday of the
month to find out where that month's lunch has been scheduled.

Fellowship Bread -
Every visitor receives a loaf of bread from Pastor as they leave the
sanctuary after services. We have a team of "bakers" who enjoy providing
this welcome to our first-time guests.

Patio Fellowship
- Between the services on Sunday, complimentary coffee, juice and baked
goods are served. This is a wonderful way to enjoy a time of Christian
fellowship. Leave a message with the church office for Jeanne Panhorst if
you would like to help provide goodies (bought or homemade) on any future
Sunday.

New Member Classes
- Twice a year (or more often if needed), we have a Saturday class where
Pastor reviews the doctrine of the Lutheran Church. On the next 4 Sundays,
prospective members learn about Desert Foothills Lutheran Church, what
opportunities are available in which to participate and begin assimilation
into their new place of worship. If you would like to come along on this
journey, please call Pastor Schmidt at church: 480-585-8007 or leave a
message at church for Ruby Green.
Our next new member orientation class will be every Sunday from April 18 through May 9 at 10:30-11:30am in the Conference Room.
Pastor's Doctrine Class is scheduled for April 24, from 9am-2pm.
Lunch will be provided at Pastor's Doctrine Class.

Greeter Teams -
This is a great way to get to know your fellow members and to provide a
warm welcome to our visitors.

Visitor Letters and
Cards - We have a team that sends a letter of welcome to all visitors.
We hope to encourage each visitor to return to worship and be connected to Jesus.
