OUTREACH - This program is designed to minister to visitors and those
desiring to be members of the church as well as to invite newcomers to the area
to join us in worship. The programs include:
Newcomer Letters - These letters are sent monthly to new residents in the
area to introduce Desert Foothills Lutheran Church to them and invite them to
worship with us. The letter also includes a magnet for important telephone
numbers for each family.
Bread - This is a program to provide a loaf of homemade bread to all the
families that worship with us for the first time. Volunteers bake the bread and
Pastor Schmidt distributes it after each service.
Welcome Wagon - This is a new group that has formed to help connect visitors
and prospective members to the entire congregation. Members of the committee
take a personal responsibility to see that visitors meet other members of the
congregation.
New Member Classes - The New Member Class is held twice a year to give
instruction to prospective members about the Lutheran Church as well as specific
information about Desert Foothills Lutheran Church. Please contact the church
office if you are interested in this class.
