Women's Ministries

DFLC’s Women’s Ministries embraces all women from ages 18-118 and seeks to equip you to be His faithful servant through Bible Studies and special events/gathering.  We want to help you create lasting, genuine friendships, grow in your walk with Christ, and live abundantly in whatever season God has placed you in.  Take time to become a part of the opportunities offered at DFLC.  If you would like to be a part of planning and developing Women’s Ministries at DFLC contact women@dflc.org.

Weekly Bible Study

DATE AND TIME: Tuesday Mornings at 9:30 AM

WHERE: Sanctuary Lobby

Elijah: Faith & Fire Old Testament heroes are best known for their most celebrated moments: Moses dividing the Red Sea; David slaying Goliath; Gideon routing an insurmountable army; Joshua marching around the defiant walls of Jericho.  And Elijah—calling down fire on Mount Carmel.

Blinded by the remarkable narratives of our biblical heroes, we can forget they each had a backstory—months and years of development, even difficulty, which fortified their spiritual muscle and prepared them for the tasks that made their lives unforgettable.

Every serious believer longs to summon up the kind of boldness and faith that can stand firm on Mount Carmel and pray down heaven into impossible situations. Yet few are willing to go through the process required to get them there. Strength of faith, character, and boldness can only be shaped in the hidden fires of silence, sameness, solitude, and adversity. Those who patiently wait on God in the darkness emerge with their holy loyalty cemented, their courage emblazoned, and their confident belief in Him set afire.

Join us as we are led by Priscilla Shirer on this video guided journey through the life and times of the prophet Elijah to discover how the fire on Mount Carmel was forged in the valley of famine. And how the emboldened, fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now.

The workbook is available for $15 or through the church office.

Monday Mom's Group

Says who.png

DATE AND TIME: Monday Mornings at 9:15 am, childcare available.

WHERE: Worship Center (where we can social distance safely)

We will discover what God has to say about being a woman, mom and a wife. Each week is a different topic so it's okay if you can make it only once in awhile.

We welcome moms to our Monday Morning Bible Study. Each week a group of Preschool Moms past and present, get together to discuss parenting, marriage, and the wisdom that is shared from being in a group. There is so much joy to be gained when we intentionally show up to be together in faith and friendship. We refresh each other’s faith, pray together over struggles, and sometimes share a recipe or two. If you are a young mom, consider joining us and building a relationship with other moms and most importantly, with our Lord.

This special evening includes performances by the Handbell Choir, DFLC Choir, Praise Band and a Christmas Carol Sing Along; as well as a special Advent Message by our Senior Pastor.

Christmas by Candlelight provides us with the opportunity for the ladies of our congregation to invite our unchurched friends to hear the real reason for Christmas at a joyful festive event on our campus.  Please contact to help plan, host a table, or attend this special evening.

Are you a creative individual who enjoys providing comfort to others?  We welcome you to Prayer Shawl Ministry. This group knits and crochets Prayer Shawls to give or send to those needing comfort and prayers.  As we create our shawls, a positive energy and many prayers are put into them.  As the shawls are used, it is our hope that the recipients feel God's arms enfolding them and feel His love, comfort, and healing.  We meet twice a month to stitch, share patterns, and pray for all our sisters and brothers in Christ.  The rewards to each of us are numerous and heartwarming.  This is a beautiful outreach group at DFLC.
